weightlifting
Hey, Im 15 and 5'10.5, I want to fully utilize this summer...since I'm finally able to get 8 or more hours of sleep every night. I weightlift almost every other day, I'm not a body builder or anything...just trying to get cut.

I weigh 156 now and bench 150, curl 30-35..and so on. I also take whey protein after all my workouts, will this help me grow at all. Ive tried all that other crap, and I'm just not committed. I just lift weights...play basketball..and take weight protein. I also drink a lot of milk and get a lot of sleep.

Is all this good for growing, you think I could get to 6'. I know I'm still growing, I just want to go quick, I need the height for basketball.

RE: weightlifting
Oh yea...I swim a good amount also. I can't keep a good stretching routine. I just want to make sure everything I;m doing can help, I do these things because I like them not for growth. But it would be really nice if they were good for my growth also.

RE: weightlifting
Why? You haven't provided me with any facts or anything. I mean you don't do much sweating when swimming

RE: weightlifting
Don't listen to any crap about not lifting heavy. Heavy is a bad term. Some people may consider a 210 pound bench press heavy, I don't though. I can personally lift that much weight with good form completing the set. If you can not complete a set with good form, then you are lifting too much weight, period. However, if you ever feel pain not a burn but pain in the muscles always stop the set, even if you can still do a few more reps, pain is never good, same goes for pain in joints particulary the wrists since they take a lot of weight on with multiple lifts since almost every lift uses your hands to hold the weight.
