RE: stretching after a couple of months stays for life?
Yes because I definitely know when gravity takes effect on the spinal column and leg tendons. Can I get a specific amount of time please...months, years, days?
And if you never stop stretching then it will stay there correct? Kind of like frankmoe was saying. It makes sense, just like lifting weights your muscle will always deflate but it will still be more than it was before. So yes, in that case stretching can help you grow just beause some of the height will be lost does not mean it will all be. I don't like how you talk like what you say is fact...you can lead people on to believe things that aren't true. Until they see that you're a 13 yr old kid I guess. Not that theres anything wrong with that...but you have 1,400 posts. Why are you so obsessed with growing? Your a 5'10 13 year old, I was like 5'7 at 13 |

No, I can't give you an exact number. If you never stop stretching until your deathbed, then no, you won't loose it. Finally, I have so many posts because I want to help people; regardless of age. Well if I won't lose the height for years then I don't really care about being 6'2 when I'm 75.

RE: stretching after a couple of months stays for life?
Well people have reported gains from stretching, so who knows. Also, as much as people on this forum like to think they know the answer, we really don't know how to body responds to constant stretching of the spine. I remember reading something that said the pitching arm of a pitcher is often a bit longer then the catching arm.
I say keep it up, I've been stretching for about a month now. I haven't measured but I feel better and my posture has greatly improved. |

This is where me and Willhu12 is different.
He believes that the stretching gains you get, aint permanent. While I believe that after some time, they will become permanent. The thing you might loose, which is also the easiest to gain, is the posture height "increase". If you stretch for a month, gain an inch, its more likely the posture you've corrected, and if you dont keep stretching, you will loose that. Now I think that if you gain about two inches in 3-6 months (and you dont have a really crappy posture) maybe ½ - 1 inch of it is growth of the tissues. And they're permanent. But of course you will have to stretch every now and then to keep a good flow in the tissues you made grow. Just like the normal weight lifting. Height: 5'10 (178cm) Fathers height: 5'11 (180cm) Mothers height: 5'3 (160cm) No growth after age 13. Routine: Meditation, The Secret. Routine start: March 15th 2010 Next goal: 6'0 Primary goal: 6'4-6'6 Age: 18 (June 21st 1992) |

Exactly, Frankymoe. You NEED to do it for a long time to kee it; just like weight lifting in relasionship to building muscles.
