RE: pills
No one on this forum has a degree in anything, most of us are kids, a lot of what we say is based on theory.
It was my understanding that when the body needs something and it doesn't get it, it lacks what its missing. Growing up eating a lot of fish or taking omega 3's would do much more for you than not taking *any pills*, taking multivitamins would insure that your body got anything it was missing.
Most people probably don't grow up taking them and maybe it's too late for taking these to make an impact when they start taking it. The earlier you start the more of an impact they can have. Will they make sure you grow to be 7 foot? no but they will attribute to better health and maybe even grow taller from. Plus there really isn't evidence of people on this forum growing from taking stuff because normally they didnt just take something, they exercized or did this or that.
I realize it probably doesn't increase GH, some websites said it did, some said it didn't. I read in plenty of places that taking a lot of alfala can make parts of the body grow, occasionally in only one part...so it was a toss up.
Alfala is not bad for you to take, it has many good things in it so why not take it? it's not like it's exspensive so i figured i WOULD take it because it wasn't bad. and maybe, maybe it would help me in my quest for more height, but if anything it would help me health wise

RE: pills
I agree its not a negative thing to take. But I wouldnt promote it as helping height growth when theres no scientific data published on growth hormone secretagogue properties.
Heres a good tip for you bud, to ensure you get REAL facts on things your interested in researching. Rather than using google for your research bud, go here;
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/
This is the NIH's database of published clinical studies, literally hundreds of thousands of published clinical studies are compiled in the database.
However to get best results you need to use scientific keywords most often. For example using "height growth" combined with whatever your trying to specificly search for, often wont give as good a result as "longitudinal growth" when combined with whatever your trying to specificly search for.
For example, search "longitudinal growth herbal" in pubmed and see clinical proof that HERBS (yes PLANTS - of course, the PROPER plants) can increase height growth Its clinically proven. So whoever says its impossible for a plant-mixture pill to increase height is sadly mistaken and has obviously never studied the subject. Its been clinically proven plants can increase height growth, quiet significantly.
One herbal composition of plants increased longitudinal growth by about 175% verse the control group (animals not being given anything thus establishing baseline longitudinal growth levels for comparison). 175%, thats nearly a tripling of the amount of growth over the same time period people.
That means if you grew 1 inch in 3 months, with the herbal mixture you would grow 2.75 inches in the same period of time. That is a more significant acceleration in longitudinal growth than what is achieved with human growth hormone injections in the clinical treatment of short stature (something that can cost $10,000 a year!), and is about a similar level of growth that is achieved with the most potent height growth promoting hormonal therapy used clinically, anabolic androgenic steroids.
So you ask why arent plants used in clinical treatment of short stature? THEY ARE, in ASIA. However in western culture, doctors tend to "lookdown" at plants and feel only synthetic man made drugs can do the job right. Slowly however, this ignorance among western doctors is changing as is evident by the massive body of research study that has sprung up over the past 2 or so decades regarding isolation of plant phytonutrients and their study. Theyre finding plants are indeed as effective as man made drugs for a variety of things, and in some cases, are even more effective!
The key is that it has to be the right plants used, which virtually all the height growth supplements on the market today fail to incorporate because the developers of them have not a clue what the heck theyre doing.

RE: pills
you mentioned increasing growth hormones to stimulate long bone growth. would alternating days of hiit, weight lifting, intermittent fasting and consuming 1.5 g per lbm protein be enough?
