my wingspan is shorter than my height

my wingspan is shorter than my height

I measured my wingspan today and it came out as 5'5 which is shoter than my height, what does that mean? that my arms arm really short or does it say something about my height?


Age: 18
Starting height: 5'6.5 (169cm)
Current height: 5'6.5 (169cm)
Mom's height: 5'4.6 (164cm)
Dad's height: 5'8.5 (174cm)
Goal height: 5'9 (175cm)
Dream height: 6'0 (182.9)

I dunno man. This thread gave me the idea to measure my arms span as well. My span measures 5"10 178cm and I'm only 5"8 172cm. I too am wondering what this means. I am almost 18 but I still feel that I haven't fully grown. I wonder if this means my height can increase to be on par with my arm span. I sure hope so.

Well my armspan is 6'3 which is almost an inch more than my height, don't worry about it everyones different.


Age: 15.6 Male
Starting height: 6'2 (July 25th 2008)
Current height: 6'2 1/4
Goal height: 6'3

mum's height: 5'6
dad's height: 5'8

yeah im close to 5'8 and my wingspan is about 6' 0.5", i measured many times


Age : 16 ( gonna turn 17 in february)

weight : 132 lbs.
Height : 5'7 3/4 (without shoes)
Goal : at least 5'11 1/2
Dream height: 6'1
moms height: 5'5
dads height :5'9 (both without shoes)

Well personally, I'd say its armspan... after all, we called them arms not wings!
Wingspan is a term more commonly used for things that actually have wings (eg. planes, birds etc)
Armspan is more correct, but that said Wingspan is often used in its place.

My arms are far out of proportion to my body hahaha.


Gender = Male
Age = 18
Height = Morning: 180.5cm
Night:178.5cm
Dad's Height = 204cm
Mum's Height = 157cm
Goal = 183cm in morning.
