best time for stretching
okay, i'm pretty convinced about stretching, so i'm following this http://www.freewebs.com/supertaller/index.htm routine routine that "PTS" posted up over in the success stories subforum.
i usually stretch in the morning right after i get up, and the other time is during the evening, like between 5-6 after school. this is also the time when i do cycling and weightlifting. is it fine to do stretching at this time? cause i read that its better when you do it near your sleep time because your body rejuvenates itself during sleep. i can't sleep after doing vigorous exercises at night so i try and do it around that 5-6 . i sleep at 10. do you think it's equally fine to do it anytime? any thoughts? age: 16 Current height: 5ft.25in (159cm) Desired height: 5ft.7in (170cm) |

RE: best time for stretching
Hahah you idiot, if you say the results are not temporary you are crazy. Stretching is dangerous because you are not stretching the spine, but muscles, ligaments and tendons in a unhealthy position.
And quoting Einstein to prove you are right is really ridiculous. If you believe stretching is gonna work you don't have enough knowledge or you are dumb. Age: 16 Height: 5'11 Goal: 6'3' |

Do some warm-up, then stretch it out. I hope it works. |

I never said anything about results, and stretching is good for you go ask your mother. And the Einstein quote was a bit of humor to let everyone know that even geniuses have to deal with some retards like yourself |

RE: best time for stretching
rightnowi'm doing the stretches that "PTS" posted a link on, its in the hieght success stories one. now i just do stretches as a suplementary exercise i guess, yet i still do it everyday for the past 7 weeks now.
but at the same time i cycle 10-20 km 3-4 days a week and i go to the gym twice a week to lift. but ive only kept the consistency on the 4th week. so far i've grown approximately 1.2cm, i havent grown a cm since i 14 so im pretty happy about that . growing slowly but surely i guess haha. so i pretty much exercise everyday now and it feels great. i hope i continue to grow to 5'5" but should i just stop the stretching or just keep doing it ? ive been stretching in the morning since forever just as a health thing , but is the stretches im doing now potentially unhealthy? age: 16 Current height: 5ft.25in (159cm) Desired height: 5ft.7in (170cm) |
