RE: Tips for better posture

yeah just get one of those weightlifting back supports, they have to automatically revert you back into a still posture

RE: Tips for better posture

I have just made it a habit. I learned when I was in 8th grade that if I slouched then I looked shorter. So I just started to straighten up (pun?).

RE: Tips for better posture

watch posture whenever possible until its a habit and pushups/situps/handstands to build strength so its less tiring and more comfortable should do the trick

RE: Tips for better posture

I used to have AWFUL posture. Running made all the muscles stronger needed for correct posture. So I suggest running or walking while maintaining the proper stance.

RE: Tips for better posture

Pilates!! Seriously. I've taking classes with a private instructor and I always walk out with noticeably better posture. It has to be done consistently though, at least 3 times a week. Better 5 or 6 times if you can (just like any posture-improving exercises)

RE: Tips for better posture

eeooee - did you get any taller from doing pilates? I mean I'm not talking a huge gain, just 0.5 -1 inch?

reason I ask is because that's all I'm looking for is about 1", I'd be more happy than you can imagine with ~2cm.
