After reading a book about the different things that effects growth, I am planning to make a program that calculate how much more can you grow approximately and your projected height. This program would be seperated into two parts:

1. A tanner stage calculator
This would calculate what stage of puberty you are in by having you enter several things about the development of your body.

2. Height Calculator
The 1.0 version of this calculator would consider several factors, your current height, your age, your parent's height, your previous growth and your tanner stage.

Program design map is finished, basic program calculations are formulated, seeking for people to Alpha test it by entering information provided at post number 10). Tanner stage calculator is not yet starting.

This sounds interesting, but most height calculators i've used online say im gonna be 5'10 but im already 6'2, although I remember one said I was gonna be 6'4 1/2 . anyway cant wait to see it when you're finished.

thats why I am making a new one, this one would consider several diferrent factors, the one that is weighed the heavest is the tanner stage, it can tell alot about how much growth you have left.
this would only be the first version of the calculator, once alot of people is interested, I am planning to make new versions adding new things to the calculator.

I think this will take some time but Im sure it will be great once you're done.

piece of cake for the first version at least, but excuse my lack of knowledge on programing, it would be only on Turing language.

What software would you use to make it though?

Turing version 4.0 I think, the first and only computer langange I learned so far( in computer science last year), hopefully after I take this years computer science I will change it to visual basics.

There probably is a limited accuracy rate that you will be able to get, if people grew in a standard 'pattern' it would be much easier to make a working height calculator. But how are you planning to get this work correctly? I believe growth spurts can pop-up all the sudden through all of puberty. I mean it's a nice idea, i just don't believe in an accurate growth calculator. But if you'd be able to make one that would be great^^

Yeah I'm sure we'd all benefit from an accurate height calculator, im sick of all the B.S ones out there.

Grow Spurts usually happens during early and mid puberty, so by getting the puberty stage info its very helpful. Also, this is also based on other things such as genetics, age and your previous months growth. Obviously this wont be perfectly correct, and there will be special cases, but it does certainly give a good picture.

My basic design map is out along with the basic calculation. So if anybody is interested in seeing what your final height is calculated through this program give me these info
