So you're saying you don't think exercise does much for growth? Tell me why athletes are some of the biggest ppl in the world. Cause they exercise and most likely eat more than your average joe. Those two combinations are the absolute best things you can do for growth. Bar none

RE: How to stimulate of IGF-1
the fact is that the more igf-1 you have in your blood, the less GH is produced. This is because of the negative feedback to the pituitary gland.

And while testosterone promotes osteoblast activity, they are also responsible for maturation. Most acromegalic giants never reached puberty, or had a very late puberty due to lack of sex hormones.

Testosterone can make you taller but igf-1 and GH is more important.

Age:18
Morning height= 188cm
Height= 186cm
Goal= 188-193cm
Weight: 63kg

I think you guys are confusing me with someone else, some other "Gary" on this forum before.

That's true. The Castrati ended up abnormally tall because they didn't stop growing.

While testosterone gives way to bone maturation, it only does so by aromatizing to estradiol (estrogen) by way of the aromatase enzyme. Aromatase inhibitors (pharmaceutical) work against this enzyme. Natural aromatase inhibitors like white button mushrooms (http://jn.nutrition.org/cgi/content/abst...1/12/3288) or black tea (http://www.journals.elsevierhealth.com/p.../abstract) can increase testosterone, which, like you said, increases osteoblast activity (though that does not make bones longer, per se, only thicker), and decrease estradiol, which fuses growth plates and stops growth.

Also, not eating carbs AT LEAST 4 hours prior sleep induces the release on IGF -1. (or at least that is what I read) Thus, before bed you should take only proteins

RE: How to stimulate of IGF-1
Shit. I shouldn't have picked this username. I'm being mistaken for someone else who apparently has a bad reputation.

Anyway, without being too narcissistic, I don't see why this thread isn't getting the attention it deserves. This is a breakthrough. The list I posted stimulates IGF-1. The actual component that makes you taller!

If there ever was a breakthrough, this is it.

I'm looking to find out more about the peppers, just trying to find out their GI.
bababooey - I think you misunderstand. I was talking to another member of the website (also called gary).

PLEASE NOTE: I am on an indefinate hiatus from GTForum. Nothing personal, just another project I've been working on since Summer '10. My account WILL reamain open - but please don't send PMs for advice until (and if) I return.

GOOD LUCK ALL HEIGHT SEEKERS!
