Has anyone beaten a height calculators prediction?
Has anyone used any height calculator or formula online to work out their natural maximum height?
If so, have you grown taller than it guessed? If so, how much?
For those who havent calculated it online yet, use this formule & practice maths xD (Its different for each gender... &beware, this is using the metric system, not feet and inches)
For Guys
(Fathers Height + Mums height + Fathers Father + Fathers Mother + Mothers Mother + Mothers Father) / 6 x 1.08 + 8.8
For Girls
(Fathers Height + Mums height + Fathers Father + Fathers Mother + Mothers Mother + Mothers Father) / 6 x 0.92 + 6.4
I havent beaten it.. Yet. It says I should be maximum 150.38cm and right now... well last time I checked I was 149.5cm... Well I got measured by a doctor so it may be taller or shorter...
14 & 8 months, Female
Height: 4'11
Mum: 4'11
Dad: 5'6
Goal: 5'2 or 5'3
Dream: 5'6 xD

RE: Has anyone beaten a height calculators prediction?
Have you got the genders the wrong way round? Because as it is it predicts girls to be taller than boys. 6 x 0.92 = 5.52, so for girls you're dividing by less than 6, when the heights of 6 people have been taken into account, meaning they're meant to be substantially taller than the average height of the 6 adults. Whereas with boys you're dividing the heights of the 6 people by 6.48, so it's going to be a much smaller number than with females; they're supposedly going to be substantially shorter than females of the same lineage.
As a boy, I'm meant to be 165cm, as a girl I'm meant to be 190cm. (Or if the genders are the wrong way round as I suspect, I'd swap the 6.4 and 8.8, so 163cm~ for a girl and 192cm~ as a boy. Either way I don't really think that this is very accurate, at least it won't be accurate for a lot of people. Where did they come up with (6 x 0.92) + 8.8 and (6 x 1.09) + 6.4?
Andy, Male, 18 - D.O.B May 11th 1990
Height - 5'9 1/2" /176-176.5
Goal Height: 5'10"
Fathers Height: 5'9"
Mothers Height: 5'3"
Brothers Height: 5'10" - Aged 20, a year and a half older

Usually height calculators said i'd become 5'11-6'1 so yeah you could say i've beaten some however guys like Chris (with parents somewhere around 5'6-5'8) probably have beaten some by far more!

RE: Has anyone beaten a height calculators prediction?
Pardon me sorry andy I stuffed that up...
The female sum is:
(Fathers height + Mothers + Fathers Father + Fathers Mother + Mothers Father + Mothers Mother) / 6 x 0.92 + 11.4
The male sum is:
(Fathers height + Mothers + Fathers Father + Fathers Mother + Mothers Father + Mothers Mother) / 6 x 1.08 + 14
Sorry about that guys, I stuffed up =S
Again, warning, this uses metric system (centimetres) not inches and feet.
14 & 8 months, Female
Height: 4'11
Mum: 4'11
Dad: 5'6
Goal: 5'2 or 5'3
Dream: 5'6 xD
