Do you think I reached my potential height?
Hello to everyone on this forum,

I'm a 20 year old middle eastern male and currently 164 cm tall. My dad is 166 and mom 157.

I sometimes browse the web to find growing taller programs and such and try to eat a very strict diet so that i could grow.

I firstly would like to ask whether I reached my potential height? Is my current height normal compared to my parents.

Altough I have eaten alot of junkfood along the past years, I also have been swimming alot and drinking milk in daily basis.

Secondly, can I grow after this age if yes by how much?

Thanks in advance

We can't define.
If you told me to predict, I will predict 2 inches as maximum.
The first inch is fairly easy, the second inches you need effort already.
Gaining is not something easy, it's not about miracle.
It's about how much effort you put into it?
Because for me, stretching isn't easy. I can't do it in prolonged time.
I prefer high-intensity exercise, since I am young and energetic.

I can't explain how I go from 5'11'' to 6'1''. I am so sure it's because growth spurts. I have a delayed growth.

Not so sure you can gain another 3-5 inches, but the 2 inches is all yours.
I can say you need 1/2 year to gain 2 inches. Since you are 20, and already pass 19 years old.

It's about exercising smart too.
You can't just do the ineffective exercise : inverted sit-up, or jumping as the example.

RE: Do you think I reached my potential height?
Thanks for the reply, so i understand that a 2 inch gain is likely for me. What exactly do you suggest i do to gain the inches?

I swim 4 times a week and play football twice a week. Can junk food hinder my growth? I do eat a balanced diet consisting of proteins, vitamins, minerals but i cant really go without chocolate and junkfood in general.

Thank you very much

yes please eat a balanced diet, you still stand a chance for late puberty growth.

RE: Do you think I reached my potential height?
Thanks for the reply's.
What do you think of the impact of genetics to the final height people reach?
I really think that like 95% of height is genetic.
So a person which has a predetermined potential height of say 170 cm can not exceed it or if so by 2-3 cm. But this is my opinion.

RE: Do you think I reached my potential height?
Eating too much sugary things (to my understanding) can hinder your growth. When Insulin is in your blood, HGH wont be secreted or something along those lines. Point is, high protein, less refined gunk.

Age: 17
Beginning height: 5'8''
Current height: 5'9 1/2''
Goal Height: 6'1''
Dad's Height: 5'11''
Mom's height: 5'0''
Weight: 183 pounds 8%BF
Routine: AST multi pro 32X multi vitamin, zinc, Melatonin, sprints + working out, Glutamine, Arginine. GHRP 2 + CJC-1295 (Since 2/16/11)
