Yo, facial hair is genetics. I dont have much and im 16. My grandpa has a load of bear and chest hair, my dad can't even grow a beard and no chest hair. I have no chest hair and beard. I cant even grow a moustache. my left armpit has some hair and my right has none.

Ok so after reading this I'm like super excited now that i may actually get to be tall. I did the calculation and my height should be 5'10-5'11" WOOHOO! I'm currently like 5'7". And like i said after reading this i see that some of your height is in your spine as well and that stretching will help your spine grow. Also..I've been overweight like since i was a kid! All through high school i was 320lbs and was only like 5'6" so that was SUPER FAT! So now that i'm on a diet and exercising more, i'm going to start doing the stretches too, I think I will actually get to be 5'10". I don't know if my growth plates have fused or not but I can atleast hope for my spine. My friend had spine surgery during the summer to straight it out..she went from 5'7" to 5'10" over night! She sucks! lol

hahaha tha'ts what you should do everyday, think postive all the time and be optimistic...if you need help with that, try hypnosis,,,btw how old are you??

I'm 18...well I'll be 19 in January. So i hoping that I'm still young enough to to grow! I'm hoping that by doing the stretches and loosing weigh, which will take some pressure off my spine...i'll be at least 5'8 by my 19th birthday! That would be awesome..but if not it's ok..I just really would love to be 5'10". It's only 3 inches? Is that realistically possible? I hope so!

maybe lol....anyway in our family, i think no one will be able to grow beard, like me i just have a very tiny not noticeable moustache...it all depends on the genes, asians dont usually have beards...

Hmm.... I'm 16 years and 9 months old. I started shaving about a year ago, which is average or even slightly behind average. Hair still only grows on my upper lip, around my chin and a smidgen on my sideburns but barely any really. I shave often (every 2 days) but only because I hate the look of facial hair (I have dark facial hair). I'm only 5'8 (just) but I don't understand why I am not taller... my dad was 6'4, so were his brothers and his dad was around 5'11! My skin colour is tanned like my mum's side of the family BUT my body hair is more like my dad's side.
Surely regardless of my mum's height (5'4 btw) I would reach at least 6'0 with that sort of ancestry!!!? I am so disheartened...

i dont think when people have beard and underarm hair and stuffs means that they wont grow any longer...i know a lot of people who has it but still grew a lot...people in the middle east for example..they grew beard when they are 9 years old lol

That's BS. If what you said were true, then I should now be only 5'1" or something among those lines. Besides, all the inches I've grown since then added up mainly in my legs, while the length of my torso remained the same (I have exactly the same body structure as my father, whose legs are much longer than his torso). Myth busted.

Well Im far away from a beard right now, even though my whole family can grow a beard like cavemen.

I have incomplete facial hair that grows very slowly (I only have to shave once a month).
