Smittlez Wrote:Doh, 6'4" and wants to be 6'11". it looks like you are only on this forum to impress people with your height. Whats the point in this when you are already 6'4" and only 14 years old. Geez.
Hmmm. You asked "What's the point in joining this forum If your already 6'4 and only 14 years old?". Well you know what?, I kinda thought the same thing when I just read your post "Smittlez", I'll tell you why though. The reason I came hear was to find some helpful tips and on how to grow taller that's what I thought this forum was for right? Or is it for bashing someone because of their height, And yes I do know that I'm already taller than a lot of you guys on the forum, but why in the heck would I want to brag about it or try to impress you guys?! I'm definitely not like that. You know being tall isn't a walk in the park, especially for a 14 year old like me I get stared at wherever I go. I can't even fit in the backseat of a normal car. I came here because you guys seem like nice and friendly people. I also came here because It's been my dream to be a Proffesional Basketball player when I grow up and in case you didn't know this but the average and yes I did say AVERAGE height for an NBA player is 6'7. If You have a problem with tall people then I guess I'll just leave the forum since you can't welcome someone new to the forum properly. Have a nice day.

P.S, Don't judge books by their covers Smittlez

Also herr Morgenstern, wie geht es dir denn?

So people look at you because you are that tall? I think that feels better than beeing looked at because you are so short, isnt it?
Anyway, my point is that you dont even NEED help to get that tall, your father is friggin 6'11" and your mum is 6'1". Your genes will prbably take you up to 7 foot if you dont do strange things.

Age: 18
Dad's Height: 5'6" (170 cm)
Mom's Height: 5'5" (168 cm)
Starting Heighth: 5'11" (180 cm)
Current Heigth: 5'11 1/2" (181 cm)
Goal: 6'2" (188 cm)

That's not necessarily true Smittlez although my genes do help me but I have a brother who just turned 19 he's only 6'1 he never played any sports like I do. My Father makes me practice at least 3 hours everyday on my rebounding, dunking, jumpers, etc, everyday he also has me on a routine diet during my AAU League season and summer at least 5 glasses of milk and 8 glasses of water no pop whatsoever each day no junk food either, fruits veggies and meat only the whole day everyday. I may not understand how it feels to be your height but try taking a walk in my shoes for a day? and yes I do get stared at because of my height ALOT

Hi, nstyle23
To answer your lat question I do play at least 3 hours a day, everyday. Well I think it's great that you want to be a Basketball player like me too. are you talking about NBA SG's? if so, I would say try to get a little taller than 6'1, Not that I'm doubting your dream to be a SG but I would say that PG's In the NBA today are around 5'11-6'3 mark, but hey don't let me decide for your position. If you can hit the 3's,jumpers,and possibly dunk then I say hey Why not be a 6'1 SG lol

Good luck to ya kid maybe we'll meet in the NBA someday P.O.Y : )

Hey thanks, little dragon I do appreciate the compliment. I do not think in any way that I'm superior to anybody in this forum We're all the same. here just trying to get info on how to grow taller for me I do not like bragging or trying to impress people about my height. God just gave my family and I the chance to be tall and I'm just taking full advantage of it and making the most out of my height anyways thanks again for the compliment P.O.Y : )

LOL I wud agree with ya. But it is ok to sacrifice a few inches of growth into ur vertical. Brings me to ask does doing vertcal jump exercises stunt ur growth or weaken ur bones?
