Auditioning for...
Disney! OMIGOD.
I had no idea where to put this, but I'm "spamming" all the forums I go to with this. And this IS General Discussion, afterall...
Beginning of next month (the 2nd) I'm going to be auditioning for the Disney Casting Directors in the singing, acting, and character look-a-like catagories. (I've been told I remind people of Alice with the blonde air, being petite, and my "mad" personality)
So until then I may not be here as much because, with schoolwork and mid-term exams, I also have to find two really good 16 bar songs that contrast (a dramatic song and a more up beat one... showtunes, obviously), as well as two contrasting monologues.
Biggest audition of my life to date. =)

Just found if I get it, I get paid! Ahhh! Usually only Equity actors are paid!

So after my audition, we were all asked about ourselves, why we like Disney, etc, etc. After I said al that, one of the casting directors asked me what role I would love to play and I said Alice, because I'm on the petite side and have been told I could easialy play her.
And I was totally the shortest girl there, which kind of sucked, but I was by far the most energetic and outgoing.
But I'm hoping that, because I was asked personally what role I would like, that means I'm in for consideration? I find out if I'm being seen for another actual character audition in 2 or 3 weeks, then I do a phone interview.
If I get it, then I'm moving to Florida or California in January until June.

Hey Casiie,
Any luck on the auditions? I know it's been a while. I just heard on the local radio today that there is an opening for Disney Auditions and then came on here and saw this topic..The call got my hopes up because I kind of wanted to be High School Musical lol. But that's just me being crazy because I don't come from a singing/acting background.

Height = Morning: 180.5cm (used stadiometer instead of pen and wall technique. I might be taller since I've been doing squats lately)
Night:178.5cm
Dad's Height = 204cm
Mum's Height = 157cm
Goal = 183cm in morning.
