19 YEAR OLD - PLZ READ MY CASE!!
Greeting to you all.
Im 19 years old and my name is Anna. i've always been quite tall and everyone in my family is between 185-190. My cousins all play basketball. Even my female cousin is 178. My father's height is 186 and my mothers height is around 170-171. I used to be 161 at 12 years, then I got my first period and grew up to 168 at 15 years of age. My period stopped at 14 and a half because i became anorexic and litterally starved. I was also quite depressed due to my parents break up, so I avoided swimming, going out in the sun and exercising and cried a lot until around 16 and a half years old. My height remained the same and i still got no period. At that age i began to eat normally and exercise mildly and grew to 170,5. Then at 17 i got down with anorexia again and lost many pounds. Now i'm 19 years old, still battling with anorexia at times, but i have a somewhat steady cycle and my height is 172.
How did anorexia and my lack of exercise influence my height?
Could i have been taller?
Can i be a cm or 2 taller considering my familys tall genes (on both sides of the family)?

Thanks
Anna

Current Height: 172
Goal Height: 174
Dream Height: 175

Nice work. Have you looked into hanging and raised seat cycling?

hi anna , your height is quite good and but if you want to gain more here some hints which i collected from my searches : right before going to bed your knee cartilage should be stretched(with ankle wieghts or by riding ) and your spine should be decompressed ( by hanging , inversion table or some other stuff ).i want to warn you about ankle weights because too much load and usage might damage.i think if you regularly do these exercises you will probably get positive results after a few months.if you want to be more sure here a reliable source of information: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_anybody_gr...by_running and good luck !

Thank you all for your help
Currently i'm only running and trying stretching and jumps daily because i'm studying for my uni exams. When they finish i'm going to start cycling and swimming each day.
How many hours approximately should I do?
Oh, and what should I eat before and after the exercise routine?

hang at least 10 times and each hanging should take at least 10 seconds.your breaks should be 30-60 seconds.riding bicycle is helpful but if you have a stationary bike ( if not i highly recommend to buy one ) it is much more good.right before sleep you should ride but how long should it take i don't know have much idea now, you can take a look at sites.you can use ankle weights while riding.using ankle weights alone takes at least 30 mins.
also stay away from much junk food and don't eat 2 hours before sleep because it hinders growth hormone secreted during sleep.all vitamins and protein are recommended highly.good luck for you
this site gives some clues which i found very useful

Well, to be honest, it's harder for females to grow taller at your age, but it's doable. Try some routines!

One question: why is stationary bike better than the old-fashioned bicycle?
And second of all is niacin indeed helpful?

stationary bike stays still yet you can cycle like normal.

Naicin I am not sure if that is good.

Personally I recommend healthy lifestyle and no pills.
