18 year old who wishes he found this forum earlier :(
Hello guys, I'm an 18 year old asian guy who stands 5'7(170cm). I was a early bloomer you could say because I had a full grown moustache by 12-13 years old, so you would think that I'm done growing but apparantly my doctor found that I still have a bit of growing to do. How much? about 3 cm she said, which is about 1.2 inches. So according to her my adult height is 5'8.5 ish. Now that really sucks for me, especially since my dad is 5'9. Weird thing is most of my asian friends dad's are like 5'3-5'5 max and all my friends are in the 5'9-5'10 zone
.I was wondering is it possible to grow more than my bone age indicates?(nothing drastic but like instead of 3 cm to 5-8 cm instead). I honestly think I might have stunted my height by doing heavy weighttraining and boxing at 12. Also it doesn't help that I was a major insomniac. Lately I'm been doing about 4-5 100m sprints once or twice a week, sleeping a bit more, taking 2-3 fish oil pills, taking Jamieson's Calcium(333mg), Magnesium(167mg) and Zinc(20mg) supplement for additional boost to my growth, also I try doing a lot of chin-ups and pull-ups, I can do alot but I don't think they actually do anything. My current goal is to be at least 5'9, my final goal is to be 5'11 and my dream is to be like 6'1-6'2. Any hopes I can reach close to 5'11 or at least 5'10? And what can aid my growth? Hope to get many replies

Hey welcome to the forum
![]() If you want to see what supplements can aid your growth look at the height diet section of the forum, there some info about supplements that can help. You should look into Niacin, Melatonin, and Vitamin D supplements, there is a lot to know about these so look in the height diet section. Regarding your supplements, stay away from zinc being you can potential poison your self with that stuff. Calcium is good but make sure you don't take too much of it because it can lead to calcium deposits in your bones which will make your bones weaker when you are older. Make sure you get Vitamin D in order for your bones to absorb the calcium. Vitamin D is also an aromatase inhibitor so it allows your growth plates to stay open longer. Fish oil is also good and there are some studies now that show it may allow you to grow more, I take it twice a day, every day. I believe that you can reach 5'9-5'10 if you get 10 hrs of sleep every night. Make sure you sleep before 10:00. Also do a lot of resistance exercises, cycling, swimming and jumping exercises these should help produce hGH while exercising which should lead to growth. Make sure the exercises are challenging and the pace while performing the exercises should be vigorous. You should also try to incorporate stretching routines like yoga, in order to straighten your posture to increase height. However most of this is only possible if your growth plates are still open, you should check with a doctor and get an x-ray before you buy growth related supplements or commit to a height increase program because what would be the point of doing a height increasing program if you cannot grow naturally Best of luck gaining height! Age: 18 Current height:6'4.75'' (morning) wingspan: 6'9.5'' Goal-(March): 6'5'' (night) Final Goal height: 6'7'' Final goal wingspan: 7'1 { } Routine: 1500mg L-arginine+1000mg Ornithine+500mg Niacin |

Hey thanks for the reply, about the 10 hours of sleeping, it's just not possible for me for some reason. My body won't let me sleep more than 8-9 hours, otherwise if I sleep more than that I wake up on my own.
My doctor did take x-rays of my hand and wrist that's how she came to a conclusion that I had about 3 cm left to grow, is it possible to grow more than that? |

I'm really confused by what do you mean if my growth plates are open, I mean if I still have about an inch of growth left, doesn't it mean they are still open? Anyways I just bought melatonin(3mg) but I'm hesitating on the Niacin(spelling?)
it has like 500mg per pill... seems excessive to me. |

Lol I think I'm not understanding something, if I still have 3 cm to grow doesn't it already mean that my plates are open? or is it possible to have the plates closed and still grow that much...
BTW is niacin and niacinamide the same thing? |

na it'll be alright dude. and as for niacin being 500 mg. there are many others on the internet that are 100, 250 and so on. if you use the 500 though it's best to cycle it.
