17 Years old and not growing
Hi everyone,
I just turned 17 years old but i got stuck at about 1.67/1.68 centimeters. My dad is about 1.78, my mom is 1.65 and i have an uncul who is 1.85. I played basketball for a long time but it didn't really help. i'm still a virgin and i can't get too many girls at my current height. Also all my friends are taller than me. Its not like i'm being bullied or something, but i am quite obsessed with my height. i once had suicidal thoughts but luckely i've grown over that.
1 year ago i was verry skinny too. i was around 48 kg. I started a diet to eat as much as possible, it worked. I now weigh about 60 kg. But ass you all can read it hasn't made me happy, now my height is bothering me at huge scale. I get the feling people aren't taking me serious because i'm so small. I know kids who are 13/14 years old and who are about the same size as i am. this really bothers me. I am absolutly sure that they talk about me (and my height in general) behind my back.
I did't really had a growth spur for i all know. i just grew a little in time, but not drastically. I hope i will grow in the next years but i have little confidience in my body as it as let me down in the past.
I hope you guys can make me feel better. Are there ways for me to grow? any tips? i'm really desparete. I cant help it but i kinda feel like my life is a failure and i will achieve nothing at this height.
Anyvay, thanks in advance
PS: sorry for my bad english, i'm Dutch (not orignally though)

RE: 17 Years old and not growing
SmallcimGuy, you and me are in the same situation. I am 20 now and I regret so much that I didn't tried to grow when I realised I was small, 3 years ago(now my chances are much smaller), I just standed and pray good to make me taller. That doesn't help. You are smaller than your father because you probally have the genes from your's mother father. It is vital for you to stop waiting and start doing something NOW. Read the articles in this forum and make a routine. The best for you would be swimming. Good luck!
